On November 14 the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Contra Costa County Foundation (H5CF) held its 14th Annual “Narrowing the Gap” Education Conference at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. The Conference, whose theme was “Grow Today, Lead Tomorrow,” was attended by 200 high school students from Contra Costa County. Throughout the day, students were able to hear from many professionals who shared their stories and struggles along the way. In addition, H5CF presented a $1,000 scholarship to College Park High School student, courtesy of Las Montañas, to pursue higher education.
